Stained glass is a widely recognized art form . Intrigued by the awesome beauty of stained glass or glass of any type? During this four week session , with a maximum of just 5 students, learn the Louis Comfort Tiffany Method . using copper foil instead of lead. Topics covered: project design, choosing glass colors and textures, cutting and shaping, foil, solder, and assembly. Beginner students’ first class project is a technique focused 10 piece panel. Panels are suitable for window decoration. Optional classes include Borders and Hang Your Glass: Finishing (listed separately)
This class is for ages 18 and over. Ages 16-18 may enroll with prior permission of the instructor.
Please bring safety glasses or purchase from the studio ($5). Wear regular shoes, not sandals or open toe.
Tuition for all four sessions is $295 and includes all materials for your first project. Included in class fee : your choice of glass from our copious scrap bins, copper foil, solder, and unlimited use of student grinders and tools. Sheet glass may be purchased but most students don’t need sheets for their first project. Studio 34 is known for our small class size to maximize student learning and fun. Class size is limited to 5 students
Please bring safety glasses or purchase from the studio ($5). Bring gardening gloves or borrow a pair of our smelly ones. Premium sheet glass is not included in class fee but is available for purchase if desired. Most students do not need to spend any additional money on glass.

We do not recommend stained glass classes if you are pregnant. Some class materials may contain lead. The class room is ventilated and non lead materials may be ordered in advance.
Projects not completed by the final session will be taken home to await home completion.
