Fusing and Slumping Techniques Series: Creating with Bubbles
Learn glass fusing techniques that are simple yet elegant and complex in appearance. This project covers bubble placement and bubble control while creating a stunning functional or decorative square piece. This class is suitable for those with little or no glass fusing experience. Intermediate students will add a new technique to their tool box. Students use clear or transparent glass for a beautiful look ; all materials and glass included in class fee. Minimum age 14.
Upon completing this class, students may want to explore different techniques and projects in the Intro to Glass Fusing series.
Students should bring safety glasses or purchase from the instructor ($5). Please wear closed toe shoes (not sandals).
- students who have attended this class before may choose to make a larger project for an additional supply fee of $20.
Level: Introductory. Those with prior glass cutting or fusing experience will find this technique intriguing and fun. Prior glass cutting skills are not required however.
WARNING: This technique may be habit forming! Our studio director is making this project in every color!
Prerequisite: no prior glass experience needed. Those with some glass experience love this wonderful new technique.
